Having performed to great audience acclaim throughout the United States since 2005, Samuel Thompson is currently seeking sponsorship to assist with many projects, including attending the 2009 Tafelmusik Baroque Performance Institute in Toronto and international music competitions taking place between 2009-2012.

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Samuel has been the receipient of scholarships and fellowships from the Oklahoma State University Friends of Music, the Houston Friends of Music, Shepherd Society, Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival and the International Festival-Institute at Round Top.

In recent seasons Samuel has received sponsorship to assist with the costs of participating in the Alternate ROOTS Annual Meeting and other projects.
